Ted Fozzard – Footballer and Pigeon Fancier
Fred (Ted) Fozzard played in the 1911/12 cup winning team for Dewsbury, having started his career at Batley in 1895. He was a popular player, held in high regard by both sets of supporters ; “ never a showy player” he was occasionally “overly robust” in his tackles.
In the obituary printed here, reference is made to both his rugby career and his success as a pigeon fancier locally.
