1954 Miss Dewsbury
The Miss Dewsbury accolade was an honour awarded to Elsie Fryer in 1954, a few lays before her 17th birthday. Longtime supporter Elsie recalled her pride in receiving the award. She treasured the powder compact prize, having it engraved at a stall on the front at Blackpool! She has donated the photo and her prize to the Dewsbury Heroes collection – thank you Elsie!
