1995 Tax Debts

The perilous state of Dewsbury’s finances was publicised in November when a £330000 tax penalty was revealed and legal action being taken by suppliers. As a member’s club, the situation was complex – with members potentially being liable individually or severally for a share of the bill.
Early in 1996, the club was named “ The worst managed club in Rugby League” by League chairman Maurice Lindsay.
