2007 Jimmy Ledgard Obituary 1
In January 2007 Rugby League lost Jimmy Ledgard – a great player who had 2 stints with Dewsbury. Jimmy had been turned down by Eddie Waring at Leeds RLFC before joining Dewsbury where he made a real impact, before leaving for Leigh RLFC for the highest transfer fee at the time of £2650.
Dewsbury honoured Jimmy by asking him to join another great, Harry Royal, to dig the first sod of the new stadium.
