2020 – A Season hit by a Global Pandemic
As the season started in 2020 no one could have foreseen the impact of a global pandemic on rugby league. Concerns about the spread of the virus were being talked about in the media in early March but Dewsbury’s fixture against Newcastle Thunder in the Challenge Cup on March 15th went ahead. Then, when the country was locked down – rugby league was suspended with no resumption in 2020.
