Rams Anthem 2015
The Rams became the first club in British Rugby League to have their own, bespoke, recorded ‘anthem’ to be played at the ground on match days – recorded by Gawthorpe Brass ‘85 who adapted and renamed the traditional “She wore a yellow ribbon” to create “The Amber Ribbon”.
An original version, written and arranged especially for the Rams, was recorded in the Royal Suite at FLAIR Stadium on Wednesday 12th July, 2015.
Lyrics:
She wore, she wore, she wore an Amber Ribbon,
She wore it for her lover and he played for Dewsbury.
And if you ask her why she wore that ribbon,
She wore it for her lover and he played for Dewsbury.
Dewsbury! Dewsbury!
She wore it for her lover and he played for Dewsbury.
Dewsbury! Dewsbury!
She wore it for her lover and he played for Dewsbury.
